The RAG flow at a glance
RAG: answers from your own source
RAG stands for Retrieval-Augmented Generation. In plain terms: before the AI answers, it first looks up the right passage in your documents and bases the answer on that. No made-up answers, but grounded ones, with the source attached.
pgvector: making your knowledge searchable
We turn your documents into vectors (a mathematical fingerprint of their meaning) and store them with pgvector in a PostgreSQL database. That lets the employee find the most relevant passage in milliseconds, even when the question is phrased differently than your document. PostgreSQL and pgvector are also open source: your knowledge lives in a system you can run and take with you, not locked to a single vendor.
